Murim P&P Becomes First in Paper Industry to Win 'Korea Green Product of the Year' Corporate Award Five Times

Recyclable with Eco-Friendly Water-Based Coating
Murim P&P announced on July 29 that it had received the Green Product of the Year in Korea award for the fifth time, making it the first company in the paper industry to achieve this milestone. The award is selected directly by consumers. Murim P&P has won this corporate award for five consecutive years, from 2021 through this year.

In general, paper containers with double-sided coatings are difficult to recycle. However, this product is the first double-sided coated paper food container to be recognized for recyclability by the Korea Environment Corporation because it uses a biodegradable, eco-friendly, water-based coating. After use, it can be separated and disposed of as paper waste.
Furthermore, compared to conventional pulp mold products, it reduces water vapor permeability by about 80%, thereby enhancing the preservation of fresh foods such as meat, seafood, and produce. With its oil resistance and heat resistance, it can be used for instant meal trays at supermarkets as well as for home meal replacement (HMR) containers.
