SensorView in Talks with Global Firm to Supply RF Interconnect Products for UAVs and Drones
SensorView, a high-frequency RF solutions company, announced on July 29 that it is in discussions to supply ultra-flexible RF interconnect products for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones to a global RF and electronic components distribution company headquartered on the West Coast of the United States.
This discussion is a follow-up project to the global RF interconnect supply partnership signed earlier this year. It marks the stage where SensorView’s ultra-flexible RF cables and connectors will be incorporated into the global demand-driven RF interconnect supply chain.
The product under negotiation is an ultra-flexible RF cable developed with SensorView’s proprietary technology, offering a minimum bend radius of 1.5mm as its key feature. Unlike ordinary RF cables, it maintains stable electrical characteristics even when bent at a smaller radius, enabling flexible wiring even in confined spaces.
UAVs and drones require stable transmission of high-frequency signals despite limited internal space, which means the performance of RF interconnects critically determines system reliability. SensorView stated that its ultra-flexible RF cables enhance design flexibility for airframes and contribute to the miniaturization of systems.
The global distributor involved in the discussions operates a demand-driven supply system, enabling rapid assembly and delivery of cables tailored to customer specifications. The company also supplies RF interconnect solutions to clients in various sectors, including aerospace, defense, testing and measurement, and industrial equipment worldwide. If SensorView’s cables and connectors are incorporated into this supply system, the company expects to respond swiftly to customized needs in diverse industries by leveraging the distributor’s global customer network.
This global distributor plans to showcase SensorView’s ultra-flexible RF interconnect products at its booth during a global exhibition to be held in Las Vegas, USA this September. The two companies will work together to identify new clients among global customers and expand business opportunities.
SensorView intends to use this collaboration as a starting point to expand its product portfolio within the global demand-driven RF interconnect supply chain and broaden its business scope beyond UAVs and drones to include sectors such as aerospace, defense, AI data centers, testing and measurement, and more.
