The West Sea Coast Guard Headquarters has launched on-site safety activities to spread the culture of life jacket use among fishermen and prevent coastal accidents, as the peak summer vacation season begins.
The West Sea Coast Guard announced on the 28th that it conducted a joint campaign at the Fishing Vessel Safety Operation Center in Goheung County to promote the culture of wearing life jackets among fishermen.
This campaign was organized to help the recently expanded mandatory life jacket-wearing regulations for fishing vessels take root in the field and to raise fishermen’s awareness of safety.
