Jindo County Hosts “Happiness Academy” Talk Show with Comedian Kim Younghee
"Malja Show" to Be Held in the County Office Main Conference Room on July 30
Jindo County of Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City is launching the “2026 Jindo Happiness Academy for Residents” to improve the quality of life for residents and promote a lifelong learning culture. The county will provide an opportunity for residents to connect through a healing talk show with comedian Kim Younghee.
The county will hold the first lecture of the “2026 Jindo Happiness Academy for Residents” for all residents on July 30 at 2 p.m. in the main conference room on the second floor of the county office.
For this inaugural lecture, comedian Kim Younghee has been invited to host a participatory healing talk show titled “Malja Show with Grandma Malja! The Jindo Residents' Counseling Center,” where residents can directly participate and engage in discussion.
During the talk show, Kim Younghee will present laughter and comfort by combining her unique sense of humor and warm empathy while addressing concerns and stories that residents submitted in advance.
In particular, by moving away from a one-sided lecture format and offering a program in which residents can actively participate and communicate, the event is expected to become a venue for sharing everyday concerns and gaining positive energy together.
Starting with this lecture, Jindo County also plans to continue operating the Happiness Academy for Residents until December by inviting a variety of distinguished figures from diverse fields.
Through these efforts, the county aims not only to offer residents knowledge and culture in multiple areas, but also to broaden cultural opportunities and further strengthen the foundation for lifelong learning.
