'AI Intelligence' Yu Hyun Pacific Group Launches Global Patent Strategy
HELIOS Identifies Risk Signals in Supply Chain and Economic Security
Building a Mid- to Long-term IP Portfolio for Global Market Expansion
Advancing Core Technology Rights with AI-Based Forgery Detection
Yu Hyun Pacific Group, an artificial intelligence (AI) intelligence platform that identifies risk signals in supply chains and economic security, is embarking on a mid- to long-term intellectual property (IP) portfolio strategy aimed at expansion into global markets such as the United States.
On July 28, Yu Hyun Pacific Group announced that it has been selected as a participant in the second half of the year for the IP Narae Program, which is sponsored by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and Gyeonggi Province and operated by the Gyeonggi Southern Intellectual Property Center. The company plans to establish IP strategies for the core technologies that make up its intelligence platform, HELIOS.
Helios is an artificial intelligence (AI) intelligence platform that selectively provides only meaningful signals in the fields of global supply chains and economic security. It collects vast amounts of open-source intelligence (OSINT) from around the world in real time, including from aviation, maritime, and satellites, then filters out noise using its proprietary judgment engine based on its own ontology system. Intensive consulting is provided in collaboration with patent specialists. Yu Hyun Pacific Group aims to secure rights to its core technologies, leveraging its accumulated AI judgment technology and data analytics capabilities, while also preparing a mid- to long-term IP portfolio to support expansion into global markets.
HELIOS is an AI intelligence platform that selectively provides only meaningful signals in the fields of global supply chain and economic security. It collects vast amounts of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in real-time from around the world, including aviation, maritime, and satellite sources, and filters out noise through its proprietary judgment engine based on its own knowledge system (ontology). Its main competitive edge lies in its structure, which goes beyond simple data collection to autonomously identify truly significant threat signals.
Since the beginning of this year, Yu Hyun Pacific Group has been steadily gaining external validation for its technological capabilities. In April 2026, the company was selected for the global startup commercialization support program organized by the Gyeonggi Institute of Science and Technology Promotion. Currently, it is carrying out the HELIOS SENTINEL project, which cross-verifies supply chain risks and asymmetric threats based on vision AI. While HELIOS serves as the platform, SENTINEL is a specialized version focused on supply chain risk.
In addition, the company’s core patent, "Hybrid Market Intelligence Providing System and Method Combining Open Source Data Analysis and Human Intelligence Verification," which was filed at the end of last year, was recognized as a candidate for the Intellectual Property Office’s expedited examination in May 2026, and is currently undergoing priority review. The expedited review system only applies to applications recognized as necessary for examination, such as national strategic technologies, demonstrating the strategic value of Yu Hyun Pacific Group’s technology.
Through the IP Narae Program, the company plans to identify key patentable technologies, such as AI-based image forgery detection, and further clarify its technological differentiation based on a competitive technology analysis. In particular, it will establish an overseas patent strategy targeting the U.S. market, in connection with the international application through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) for its core patents.
Yoo Hyun, CEO of Yu Hyun Pacific Group, said, "In an era marked by an explosion in the volume of information, judgment technologies that distinguish signals from noise are more important than simply gathering data. HELIOS is establishing a technology infrastructure that captures and delivers only truly significant changes within the vast sea of information that humans would otherwise miss."
He added, "Being selected for the IP Narae program is an important turning point to systematize our field-proven technologies into protectable assets. Starting with domestic applications, we will build an IP portfolio recognized in the United States and other global markets, ensuring the company’s long-term technological competitiveness."
