View original imageThe Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) announced on July 28 that they are recruiting members for the National Evaluation Panel for the "Independent AI Foundation Model" project.
The Independent AI Foundation Model Project is a public-private collaboration aimed at developing a globally competitive, independent AI model. In August, the second-phase evaluation will be conducted for elite teams from LG AI Research, Upstage, SK Telecom, and Motif Technologies. The evaluation system will include benchmark tests, expert assessments, and a user evaluation involving the National Evaluation Panel.
The call for the National Evaluation Panel is open to anyone from July 28 to 6 p.m. on August 4. A total of 200 citizens will be recruited. Citizens who wish to participate can apply through the QR code provided in the announcement posted on the NIPA homepage.

The selected panel members will directly use and evaluate the independent AI models developed by the elite teams from August 8 to August 11. The evaluation results will be reflected in the second-phase assessment of the Independent AI Foundation Model Project.
