Ministry of Trade and KIAT to Host AI and Advanced Industry Job Fair... Sharing Employment Strategies with Industry Professionals

The Korea Battery Industry Association announced on the 28th that, together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), and the Six Major Advanced Industry Sector Councils (SC), the '2026 AI × Advanced Industry Joint Job Fair' will be held at Park Hyatt Busan from August 27 to 28.

View original imageThis event is co-hosted by eight associations representing six cutting-edge industries: biohealth, artificial intelligence (AI), shipbuilding, batteries, displays, and semiconductors. It is designed to provide industry-specific job roles and recruitment information to university (including graduate) students and young job seekers wishing to pursue careers in high-tech industries.
The Korea Battery Industry Association explained that, although competition among companies in advanced industries to secure talented individuals has intensified, a lack of opportunities to experience on-site job roles has resulted in persistent mismatches in recruitment. The association stated that, through this job fair, it aims to help young people gain direct understanding of the latest industrial trends and actual job roles, thereby strengthening their competitiveness in the job market.
This year, the event has expanded to include AI and shipbuilding, in addition to the existing biohealth, battery, display, and semiconductor fields.
According to the association, the event will feature industry-specific job sessions attended by a total of 22 advanced companies, as well as a special lecture on AI. HR managers from these companies will introduce their recruitment processes and plans, while current engineers specializing in key roles such as production, quality, and research & development (R&D) will share their hands-on job experiences and required competencies through panel discussions and Q&A sessions.
On the first day, August 27, Seongyong Son, CEO of INTO Management Consulting, will present a special lecture entitled 'Mastering the AI Recruitment Processes,' followed by job sessions covering the biohealth, AI, and shipbuilding sectors. On the second day, August 28, consultant Seorim Kwon will give a lecture on 'How to Utilize AI Agents in Practical Work,' and job sessions will be held for the battery, display, and semiconductor sectors.

The Korea Battery Industry Association expects that this job fair will provide young people with real opportunities to explore job roles and help them prepare for job searches in the second half of the year. Participation is free of charge, and applications can be submitted via the registration website until August 21.
