According to police, Mr. A is accused of fatally attacking a woman in her 50s with a bladed weapon at an officetel in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.
Police responded to a report of a murder at around 1:40 a.m. on this day, immediately dispatched officers to the scene, and arrested Mr. A on the spot. Multiple bladed weapons and drug-related items were reportedly found at the scene. The police have seized these items and are also conducting an investigation into drug-related offenses.
So far, authorities have determined that Mr. A and the victim were neither family members nor cohabitants.
