Kwangjang Establishes "Corporate Law Research Center" to Strengthen Corporate Advisory Expertise
Enhancing Advisory Service Quality Through Proactive Analysis of Key Issues
Kwangjang Law Firm announced on July 28, 2026, that it has established a Corporate Law Research Center within its Corporate Advisory Group to enhance the quality of its corporate advisory services.
The Corporate Law Research Center will conduct in-depth analysis of laws, legal precedents, and international cases covering all aspects of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), enabling more accurate and prompt advisory services. When major legislative amendments or regulatory trends are identified, the center will go beyond simply sharing updates by providing in-depth analytical reports and seminars, thereby strengthening clients’ ability to respond. In addition, the center will institutionalize the previously temporary Revised Commercial Code Task Force (TF), generating ongoing research results.
The Corporate Law Research Center is led by Managing Attorney Kim Jongwook (35th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute) and Deputy Director Kim Taejeong (37th class). Moon Hojun, the lead attorney of the Corporate Advisory Group and an expert in M&A and corporate advisory (27th class), as well as Yoon Yongjun, the group secretary (31st class), will also support the center’s activities.
Research topics are selected by the management team, after which relevant partner attorneys and associate attorneys with expertise in the selected topics will collaborate with attorneys who were part of the previous Revised Commercial Code TF to carry out the studies.
Moon Hojun, the lead attorney, commented, "The Corporate Law Research Center is a think tank that brings together the expertise of the Kwangjang Corporate Advisory Group. With competition in the corporate advisory market growing ever more intense, it will provide a solid foundation for delivering optimal legal services to our clients."
Center Director Kim Jongwook stated, "In a rapidly changing corporate law environment, the Corporate Law Research Center will take the lead in identifying key issues and sharing analysis results, ensuring that clients receive the information they need the fastest. We are committed to providing all of Kwangjang’s attorneys with the foundation to deliver accurate, high-quality advisory services to clients."
