Law Firm YK to Provide Dedicated Initial Response to Serious Accidents at Construction Sites

Law Firm YK is joining forces with the Korea Construction Engineers Association to provide initial response to serious industrial accidents and safety incidents at construction sites.
On July 27, YK announced that it had officially signed a service contract with the Korea Construction Engineers Association for on-site reenactment and initial legal response regarding incidents.
Construction engineers, including site managers, often find it difficult to receive immediate legal assistance when accidents occur on-site, which frequently leaves them vulnerable to legal blind spots during the early stages of an investigation. This contract was signed to ensure that construction engineers can systematically respond to investigative authorities from the very beginning if an accident occurs.
Under the contract, YK will establish a 24-hour emergency contact channel. When a serious industrial accident or other urgent incident is reported, YK will utilize its 31 regional branch offices nationwide to assign a dedicated lawyer by region and connect them with the construction engineer within 30 minutes.
The dedicated team will carry out work services for reenacting accident scenes and provide consultation for technical and legal issues that arise in the initial stages, such as defense for initial statements and guidance on investigative procedures.
Even after the initial response, if further legal measures are required, YK plans to offer ongoing legal services through a formal retention agreement with the parties involved until the matter is fully resolved.
