Jin Jong-oh: "I Will Fully Explain Myself Before the Committee"
Jin Jong-oh, a member of the People Power Party, stated on the 28th that, regarding the party's Central Ethics Committee initiating disciplinary proceedings against him, "If the disciplinary action is a groundless measure to turn the party into a private organization, I will resolutely oppose it."
On Facebook that day, Jin said, "If walking toward public sentiment for the reconstruction of the conservative movement is a crime, I will gladly accept that crime," adding, "No government that has tried to overcome public sentiment through disciplinary politics has ever succeeded."
He criticized, "What the People Power Party needs is not intimidation and disciplinary politics for privatization, but to regain public trust," and said, "The public will not support a party that points the sword inward."
He continued, "I will thoroughly explain the circumstances and intentions behind my actions during the Ethics Committee proceedings," stressing, "The final judgment will be made not by them, but by the people and party members."
