BC Card Releases Open Source Code for Self-Developed AI Platform: "First in the Financial Sector"
Incorporating AI regulations and financial guidelines from the initial design stage
Separation of internal operations and external public networks for development completed
BC Card aims to expand its enterprise AI platform, 'MoAI'
On July 28, BC Card announced that it has released the open source code for its self-developed artificial intelligence (AI) platform, 'BCGPT WebUI'.
It is an agentic AI-based platform that provides document search, Q&A, content generation, and multi-AI collaboration all within a single environment.
A BC Card representative said, "This is the first time a key AI platform in the financial sector has been released as open source," adding, "The purpose is to contribute to the independence of domestic financial AI technology and the revitalization of the AI ecosystem in line with the government's 'Sovereign AI' policy initiative."
One of its main features is that it was built as a 'regulatory-compliant AI platform' by reflecting domestic AI regulations and financial sector guidelines from the initial design stage.
The platform's capabilities have also been enhanced by applying multi-AI collaboration technology (maximizing answer accuracy through cross-verification among multiple AIs), automated quality assurance, multi-layered security, and optimization for domestic search.
Open source was developed in an external development network separated from the internal corporate network, and external public assets are managed separately, thereby complying with the network separation regulations of the financial authorities.
The BC Card representative explained, "By releasing its key AI assets free of charge, BC Card plans to share and have its technologies validated by the global developer community. Through these efforts, our strategy is to reduce reliance on overseas platforms and strengthen the competitiveness of core domestic financial AI technologies."
In particular, BC Card will actively discover and expand AI platform deployment and operation projects for fintech firms and ordinary companies that lack AI regulatory compliance capabilities, and widen its AI business offerings for enterprises.
