Honorary Chairman Cho Youngsoo of Hanse Yes24 Culture Foundation Donates 100 Million Won to the Red Cross
Joined the Korean Red Cross "Red Cross Honors Club"
On July 28, Hanse Yes24 Culture Foundation announced that Honorary Chairman Cho Youngsoo had donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross and joined the high-value donor group, the "Red Cross Honors Club."
With this donation, Honorary Chairman Cho became the 358th member of the Red Cross Honors Club nationwide and the 33rd member in Seoul. The funds will be used for the Korean Red Cross’s humanitarian projects, including disaster relief and support for vulnerable groups.

In 2024, she donated 100 million won to her alma mater, the College of Humanities at Seoul National University, to support the development fund and the construction of a humanities library. This time, she is supporting vulnerable groups through the Korean Red Cross.
Honorary Chairman Cho, the wife of Kim Dongnyeong, Chairman of Hanse Yes24 Holdings, graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Seoul National University, earned a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and received a Ph.D. in literature from Ewha Womans University. She is currently an honorary professor at Kyonggi University and served as the chairwoman of the Hanse Yes24 Culture Foundation for five years from 2018, leading academic research support, scholarship programs, and cultural and arts support projects.
The Red Cross Honors Club is a group of high-value donors launched by the Korean Red Cross in 2016 for those who donate 100 million won or more. Contributions are utilized for humanitarian initiatives such as disaster relief and support for disadvantaged groups.
Honorary Chairman Cho Youngsoo stated, “I would like to thank the Korean Red Cross officials for preparing this meaningful occasion. I hope this donation will provide warmth and hope to our society’s marginalized and struggling neighbors.”

Meanwhile, the Hanse Yes24 Culture Foundation is a public interest foundation established in 2014 with a private contribution from Chairman Kim Dongnyeong. Aiming to expand cultural exchanges between Korea and Southeast Asia, the foundation conducts various cultural and academic support projects, including international cultural exchange exhibitions, scholarships for international students, support for humanities research, and the translation and publication of Southeast Asian literature.
