Air Premia to Raise 110 Billion Won Through Rights Offering... "Strengthening Financial Soundness"
Shareholder Priority Allocation: 550 Million New Shares
Record Date for New Shares: August 19
New Asian Routes to Launch in Winter Season
Hybrid airline Air Premia is initiating a large-scale capital raise to strengthen its financial soundness and ensure stable business operations.
On July 28, Air Premia announced plans to conduct a paid-in capital increase worth 110 billion won.
This rights offering will be carried out via a shareholder priority allocation, targeting existing shareholders. A total of 550 million new common shares will be issued, raising approximately 110 billion won. The record date for new share allocation is set for August 19, with subscriptions taking place on September 18 and payment due on September 29.
The funds raised will be used to improve the company’s financial structure and secure long-term growth drivers. With ongoing uncertainties in the airline industry due to high exchange rates and oil price volatility, this move is aimed at stabilizing Air Premia’s financial base.
Notably, this paid-in capital increase is part of the financial restructuring plan that Air Premia submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The company plans to reinforce its management foundation and pursue sustainable growth based on the expanded capital base.
While continuing to operate long-haul routes centered on North America, Air Premia is also preparing to launch new Asian routes during the upcoming winter season. Leveraging this latest round of capital raising, the airline aims to steadily implement its growth strategies, including network expansion.
