Korea Investment Management's ACE ESG Active ETF Achieves 73% Year-to-Date Return
Korea Investment Management announced on the 28th that its 'ACE ESG Active' Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) ranked No.1 in year-to-date returns among domestic equity-type ESG (environmental, social, and governance) active ETFs.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the previous day’s closing price, the ACE ESG Active ETF has posted a year-to-date return of 73.02%, outperforming the average return of similar products (62.78%) by 10.24 percentage points. Including the per-share dividend payment of 135 won distributed this year, the year-to-date return rises to 74.43%, with a total return since listing reaching 151.13%. Compared to its benchmark, the 'MSCI Korea Country ESG Leaders Custom Capped Index,' which rose 66.8%, the ETF has outperformed by 6.22 percentage points. The one-year and three-year returns also remain among the highest in the same category, at 134.19% and 194.41%, respectively.
This performance is attributed not only to selecting stocks with excellent ESG ratings but also to actively identifying and adjusting portfolio weights in companies with high potential for earnings growth and shareholder value enhancement. The product constructs its portfolio by considering not only ESG ratings but also earnings outlook, industry competitiveness, financial soundness, valuation, and potential for shareholder returns. As of the previous day’s closing price, the sector allocation was focused on high-growth industries, with 45.38% in IT, 25.99% in industrials, and 14.19% in finance.
