Over the next two years, more than 100 titles, including 26 new releases, will be launched sequentially. New content will include English subtitles and dubbing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu to reduce language barriers.
Last year, CJ ENM entered into a global partnership with Amazon Prime Video and expanded its overseas distribution. The company also entered the Indian ad-supported OTT market through Amazon MX Player. Through this new agreement, CJ ENM now expands its reach to India's subscription-based OTT market as well.
India, with a population of 1.4 billion, is considered a core strategic market for global media companies. As interest in K-dramas and K-pop continues to grow, competition to secure content is intensifying.
