14,342 Apartments Set for August Occupancy... Seoul Sees Year's Largest Move-In Thanks to Banpo Mega-Complex [Real Estate AtoZ]

Nationwide Apartment Occupancy Volume Tallied

The number of apartments scheduled for occupancy nationwide next month has been tallied at 14,342 units. With the supply concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, Seoul itself will see the highest number of new move-ins this year as occupancy begins in the large-scale complex in Banpo District, Seocho-gu.

According to Zigbang on July 27, the number of apartments to be supplied nationwide in August amounts to 14,342 units. This figure represents a 3.4% increase compared to the same month last year (13,867 units) and is similar to the previous month (14,400 units).

The metropolitan area accounts for 8,924 units, or 62% of the total. Other regions will supply 5,418 units.

In Seoul, 3,540 units will be supplied across six complexes, representing the highest monthly figure so far this year. Of these, 'Banpo Raemian Tri-ni-one' in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu accounts for 2,091 units, making up more than half of Seoul's total supply. 'Magok 17 Complex' in Gangseo-gu (577 units) and 'Hillstate Mapo The First' in Mapo-gu (488 units) are also scheduled to begin move-ins.

In Gyeonggi Province, 5,384 units are set for occupancy. Pyeongtaek leads with 2,230 units, followed by Suwon with 2,178 units, Icheon with 558 units, and Paju with 418 units. There are no apartment complexes in Incheon scheduled for occupancy next month.

Outside the metropolitan area, most of the supply is concentrated in South Chungcheong Province and Gangwon Province. South Chungcheong will see 2,059 units, while Gangwon Province will supply 1,668 units. In South Chungcheong, 'Tangjeong Prugio River Park' will begin occupancy with 1,626 units. In Gangwon Province, 'Chuncheon Lake City IPARK' (874 units) and 'Gangneung Ocean City IPARK' (794 units) are also set to start occupancy.
