"Looking for Shareholders to Cultivate Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town"…Gyeongbuk Development Corporation Recruiting Living Lab Participants
Gyeongbuk Development Corporation is recruiting participants for the program "Looking for Shareholders to Change and Cultivate Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town! Gyeongsangbuk-do Resident Participation Living Lab", from July 27 to August 16. Eligible applicants are residents with an address in Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town or employees working in the area. Selected teams will receive activity support funds.
The Living Lab is an innovation method that encourages residents to directly identify and solve problems in their daily environment. Its distinguishing feature is not only gathering ideas from residents, but also having them actively participate in the execution process, thereby addressing local issues and revitalizing the community together. In order to spread the culture of direct resident participation in problem-solving, the corporation operates a Resident Participation Living Lab every year.
This year’s Living Lab will address two agendas within Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town: "traffic safety" and "community garden management." In the area of traffic safety, up to two teams (each consisting of 1 to 5 members) will be selected to identify vulnerable areas for children's traffic safety and implement improvement ideas. In the community garden management area, 40 households will be chosen to participate in a community garden program for children's ecological education, with activities grouped into four teams according to ecological education themes.

Residents wishing to participate can apply online by scanning the QR code on the recruitment poster posted on the Gyeongbuk Development Corporation website. Applications will be comprehensively reviewed based on submitted ideas and activity plans, and the final participants will be selected. The selected teams will attend an orientation in August, and from September to November, they will carry out team projects throughout Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town.
