LG Innotek Surpasses KRW 10 Trillion in First-Half Sales... Q2 Operating Profit Soars 2,057%
Second-Quarter Revenue Hits Record High of KRW 5.53 Trillion
Strong Performance Driven by Camera Modules and Semiconductor Substrates
LG Innotek recorded a sharp increase in operating profit compared to the same period last year, delivering results that surpassed market expectations.
On July 27, LG Innotek announced that, based on consolidated Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS), its provisional operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 was KRW 245.8 billion, up 2,057% from the same period last year.
Second-quarter revenue increased by 41% year-on-year to a record-high KRW 5.5272 trillion for any second quarter. The accumulated sales for the first half of the year, combining the first and second quarters, reached KRW 11.0621 trillion, surpassing KRW 10 trillion for the first time on a half-year basis.
Despite the seasonal off-peak, demand for high-value mobile camera modules remained robust, and strong supply of high-value semiconductor substrates such as RF System-in-Package (RF-SiP), Flip Chip Chip Scale Package (FC-CSP), and Flip Chip Ball Grid Array (FC-BGA) drove performance gains. In addition, sales of mobility components, including automotive camera, communication, and lighting modules, showed an upward trend.
By business segment, the Optical Solution division posted sales of KRW 4.5179 trillion, up 48% year-on-year. Growth was led by high-value mobile camera modules and increased sales of automotive cameras supplied to major customers with new models.
The Package Solution division recorded sales of KRW 498.4 billion, up 20% year-on-year. Key semiconductor substrate supplies such as RF-SiP and FC-CSP grew strongly, and FC-BGA performance also improved with expanded global customer supply. The Mobility Solution division generated KRW 510.9 billion in sales, a 10% increase over the previous year, driven by growth in high-value automotive lighting and communication modules.
LG Innotek plans to strengthen its core optical and package businesses while focusing on fostering new growth engines, such as physical AI businesses centered on autonomous driving and robotics.
