Kiwoom Asset Management to List 'KIWOOM US CPU Semiconductor TOP4+' ETF on the 28th
80% Concentrated Investment in Intel, AMD, ARM Holdings, and Qualcomm
Kiwoom Asset Management announced on July 27 that it will newly list the 'KIWOOM US CPU Semiconductor TOP4+' Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on the Korea Exchange on July 28.
This product focuses on investing in CPU companies that are drawing attention as key semiconductors in the era of Agentic AI. Approximately 80% of the fund is allocated to Intel, AMD, ARM Holdings, and Qualcomm, which represent the US CPU market. The remaining 20% or so is invested in companies related to the CPU ecosystem, such as NVIDIA, Apple, TSMC, Broadcom, Marvell Technology, and Cadence Design Systems.
Recently, the AI industry is evolving beyond simple generative AI into the era of Agentic AI, which is capable of autonomous decision-making and performing multiple tasks. In complex environments where AI performs various tasks simultaneously, not only GPUs, which handle large-scale computations, but also CPUs, which sequentially control processes and efficiently manage system resources, are becoming increasingly important.
As the scale of AI models grows, the bottleneck interval that determines GPU utilization is increasingly influenced by CPU performance. As a result, companies focused on CPUs are now emerging as new beneficiaries of expanded investment in AI infrastructure.
The 'KIWOOM US CPU Semiconductor TOP4+' ETF is assembled to respond to these changes, allowing simultaneous investment in both major architectures of the CPU industry—namely, Intel and AMD representing the x86 ecosystem, and ARM Holdings and Qualcomm leading the ARM-based ecosystem.
In addition, the ETF includes key companies in the CPU ecosystem, such as NVIDIA and Apple, which design their own CPUs within the ARM ecosystem, as well as TSMC, Broadcom, Marvell Technology, and Cadence Design Systems, covering sectors like CPU design and production, AI servers, and semiconductor electronic design automation (EDA).
