TheVentures Delivers Investment Review Results in Just One Day with AI Evaluator
The investment review time for the artificial intelligence (AI) evaluator at TheVentures, a global early-stage venture capital (VC) firm, has been shortened to one day.
TheVentures announced on the 27th that with its AI evaluator system 'Vicky', introduced in April last year, it can now deliver review results within 24 hours after receiving a business plan.
TheVentures shortened Vicky's investment review period from 72 hours as of April 3 to just one day (24 hours) in just three months. Rather than adding more screening steps, the company enabled AI to process business model analysis and data verification—which were previously handled manually—in real time. Furthermore, bottlenecks from document submission to internal review report generation were automated, eliminating unnecessary waiting time.
From the moment an entrepreneur submits a business plan, Vicky is responsible for the initial document review. The system assesses the market size and structural advantages of the business and team, then cross-references global corporate databases in real time to create comparative analysis reports of similar services, and even detects technical logical flaws. With administrative tasks such as drafting review reports now automated, investment managers are able to spend more time on qualitative tasks such as interviewing founders and formulating strategy.
Since its introduction, Vicky has reviewed over 1,500 business plans. The level of agreement between the deals selected by Vicky and the final decisions of human evaluators stands at around 90 percent.

Cheolwoo Kim, CEO of TheVentures, stated, "Delays in investment review are not the fault of individual evaluators, but rather due to the limits of human processing capacity. Instead of increasing manpower, we chose to change the structure, and as a result, we have become the VC that can meet founders the fastest while maintaining accuracy in our evaluations."
