Review of Second Supplementary Budget Bill... Session to Conclude on August 7
The Sangju City Council of North Gyeongsang Province has begun reviewing the direction of the 9th popularly elected administration and this year's major work, and has also started deliberations on a supplementary budget bill.
The Sangju City Council announced that it convened the 240th extraordinary session on July 24, commencing a 15-day legislative schedule running until August 7.

During this extraordinary session, the council will hear major work reports for 2026, including the administrative plans for the 9th term mayoral administration.
Additionally, the council will review the second supplementary budget bill for 2026 and the revised fund management plan, and will establish both the Special Committee on Budget and Settlement and the Special Committee on Ethics.
The major work reports will be conducted over five days until July 31. From August 3 to 6, standing committees will review ordinance bills and supplementary budget bills.
The session will conclude with the seventh plenary meeting on August 7.
Chairman Ahn Changsoo of the Sangju City Council stated, "Through this extraordinary session, we will thoroughly examine the major work and policy directions of the city, focusing our legislative efforts to ensure that key initiatives are properly implemented for the benefit of citizens."

As this is the first extraordinary session held immediately after the start of the 9th popularly elected administration, it is expected to serve as a key test for how the council will scrutinize and oversee the new policy direction of Sangju City.
