A teenage male suspect has been arrested after wielding a weapon against a high school girl in a residential area of Gangseo District, Seoul.
On July 25, Oh Hana, presiding judge on duty at the Seoul Southern District Court, conducted a pre-trial detention warrant review for suspect A on attempted murder charges and issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns over possible evidence destruction or flight risk.
Suspect A is accused of stabbing teenage high school student B with a weapon at around 1:26 p.m. on July 23 in an alleyway within a residential neighborhood in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo District, Seoul.
B sustained an abdominal stab wound and was transported to a hospital for treatment. It has been confirmed that her life is not in danger.
A and B are reported to have been acquaintances prior to the incident.
