Through this agreement, both companies will jointly explore new business opportunities in the Korean market and support enterprise adoption and utilization of AI.
In particular, they will strengthen their efforts to target the domestic enterprise AI market by promoting joint marketing, proof of concept (PoC), and joint ventures. They also plan to operate an applied AI engineer training program that covers every stage from planning the adoption of Claude services to implementation, operation, and technical support.
Samsung SDS is also pursuing its "Client Zero" strategy. This project involves internally adopting Claude first, validating it, and then expanding that experience to Samsung affiliates and external corporate clients. Currently, Claude Enterprise is being provided to about 70,000 employees across 20 Samsung affiliates, supporting their transition to AI-centric business processes.
According to Samsung SDS, in the first few weeks after Claude was introduced, the number of messages exchanged between employees and Claude surpassed 1 million. About half of the users are utilizing "Claude Code," an AI coding tool.
Through the Client Zero strategy, Samsung SDS plans to expand its AI transformation (AX) business by providing end-to-end support—from introduction to active utilization of Claude—for external corporate clients.
Junho Lee, President of Samsung SDS, stated, "Based on the strengths of both companies, we will support our customers’ AI innovation and create new business value through trustworthy AI solutions."
Kris Xiaouri, Head of International at Anthropic, said, "We have entered into a strategic partnership because Samsung SDS possesses the capabilities necessary to play a key role in accelerating Claude adoption among Korean enterprises."
