The ceremony was attended by Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun and executives from the group’s affiliates. New managers gave presentations on assignments completed during the two-week orientation training, followed by the awarding of outstanding trainees, encouraging remarks, and the presentation of appointment letters.
At the event, Chairwoman Hyun highlighted the importance of “sharing experiences” among colleagues connecting the past and the present. She urged, “Let’s pave the way for Hyundai Group to grow together, advancing side by side.”
She also stressed, “Even now, when changes are happening faster than ever before, the essence of learning begins with people, not technology,” and added, “Bringing together different perspectives and sharing experiences in pursuit of a better path is the driving force behind growth,” emphasizing communication and empathy among colleagues.
This orientation training focused on strengthening new managers’ ability to utilize AI in their roles, while also enabling them to naturally learn Hyundai Group’s core values and culture through “sharing experiences” with senior employees.
In particular, the buddy program (coaching by a senior in the same team) and mentoring program (coaching by a senior from another team), which operate after the completion ceremony, stand out. For one year after training, the new managers will continue their “growth journey together,” sharing experiences with senior colleagues to help them adapt smoothly.
Chairwoman Hyun further stated, “The start and end of every task is determined by trust between people. Build upon the trust established by your senior colleagues and add your own fresh perspectives and bold challenges—continue to dream and take action fearlessly.”
Chairwoman Hyun has consistently expressed her belief that even in the era of rapid AI transformation, the core strength of the company lies in “employees’ insight and judgment.”
In this year’s New Year’s Address, she also referred to “sensemaking” (the ability to connect information to insight), presenting creative thinking, proactive decision-making, and the determination to act decisively—all hallmarks of the Hyundai DNA—as key characteristics.
