Daewoo E&C Joins Forces with Operator to Strengthen Full-Cycle Capabilities in Data Center Development, Construction, and Operations
Daewoo E&C and KINX Sign Business Agreement for Development Projects
Daewoo E&C announced on the 24th that it has signed a business agreement with KINX, a data center operator, for data center development projects.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly identify hyper-scale and AI data center development projects and establish a cooperative model that integrates development, construction, and operations. They will also work on securing development partnerships at the early stages of projects. Both sides plan to actively cooperate to expand opportunities for participation in data center projects that they jointly pursue or review.
Daewoo E&C expects that by preemptively securing a specialized data center operator through this agreement, it will strengthen its competitiveness in securing new contracts in the future. It also expects to benefit from securing priority construction rights for new projects promoted or reviewed with KINX. For KINX, this agreement enables the company to secure a proven development and construction partner.

Moving beyond its previous focus on construction, the company is now building its capabilities as an integrated data center developer, covering development, investment, and operations. The company is participating as both investor and construction partner in projects such as the Empyrean Digital AI Campus—its first in the Gangnam area in 10 years—and the Jangseong Pine Data Center, the first of its kind launched in Jeonnam. Earlier this year, Daewoo E&C signed an agreement with Jeonnam to develop an AI Data Center Cluster.
