Kyobo Life Insurance Delivers 170 Million Won to Over 2,300 Underprivileged Children

Kyobo Life Insurance announced on July 24 that it had delivered a donation of 168 million won raised by its employees through the first-half "Love Ribbon Campaign" to the ChildFund Korea.
The Love Ribbon Campaign is one of Kyobo Life Insurance's major social contribution initiatives. It operates using a matching grant format, in which employees voluntarily contribute a certain amount from their monthly salary and the company matches the same amount. The collected funds are provided to children from underprivileged backgrounds, including children and youth heads of households, and are used for living expenses, educational costs, housing expenses, and childcare costs.
In the first half of the year, an average of approximately 1,050 employees each month and the company raised a total of 168 million won, which was delivered to 2,342 children. Of this, 108 million won was used for living and educational expenses for 724 children in Korea. In addition, 51 million won was provided as sponsorship and childcare support for 1,562 children, and 8.5 million won was provided for housing support, among other uses.

Employees of Kyobo Life Insurance have been voluntarily participating in the Love Ribbon Campaign since 2003. The cumulative amount of donations has reached approximately 8.4 billion won, benefiting around 100,000 children to date.
