View original imageSK Discovery announced on the 24th that it held two joint volunteer activities in the first half of the year, involving affiliates such as SK Chemicals, SK Gas, and SK bioscience, with a total of more than 60 employees participating.
The joint volunteer activities are a social contribution program in which affiliates work together to address social issues in local communities where their business sites are located, such as Pangyo, Ulsan, and Andong, and support vulnerable groups.
In the first half of the year, they planted 200 trees at Sky Park in Sangam-dong, Seoul in May. In June, they carried out a summer kimchi-making volunteer activity at the White Village Welfare Center in Seongnam and delivered 400 boxes of kimchi to people in need in the area.
SK Discovery plans to continue a variety of social contribution activities in the second half, including inviting children supported by Hope Maker to cultural experiences, delivering side dishes to seniors, and helping with farm work.
