Sujin Jung of Bae, Kim & Lee Named "ALB Asia Woman Lawyer of the Year"
Secured Not-Guilty Verdicts in Major Cases Including SK Materials and Sampyo Industry Serious Accidents
Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (BKL) announced on July 24 that Sujin Jung, a litigation lawyer at BKL and a 32nd class graduate of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, has been named "Asia Woman Lawyer of the Year" by Asian Legal Business (ALB).
Joining BKL in 2023, Jung draws on 20 years of court experience and has distinguished herself across a wide range of disputes, including fair trade litigation, serious and industrial accident criminal cases, personal information protection litigation, and management rights disputes.
In particular, she secured not-guilty verdicts in several high-profile cases, such as the SK Materials serious accident case, the Sampyo Industry serious accident case, and the Samsung Electronics Giheung plant industrial accident case. As the leader of the fair trade litigation team, she also spearheads numerous administrative lawsuits related to abuse of market-dominant position, unfair trade practices, and subcontract law violations.
Jung contributed to the resolution of the SK Telecom personal information leak case before the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission, and has achieved timely victories in multiple injunction proceedings involving management rights disputes, demonstrating expertise in various areas of contentious work.
