President Lee Dispatches Special Envoys Min Hongcheol, Kang Minkook, and Lee Kiheon to Peru Presidential Inauguration
The Blue House announced on the 24th that, on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the new President of Peru, Keiko Fujimori, and the launch of the new government on the 28th, a special delegation led by Representative Min Hongcheol, president of the Korea-Peru Parliamentary Friendship Association, along with Representative Kang Minkuk and Representative Lee Kihun, will be dispatched as special envoys of President Lee Jae-myung to Peru to promote friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

View original imageAccording to the Blue House, the delegation will explain the Korean government’s national philosophy and foreign policy to their Peruvian counterparts and deliver President Lee Jae-myung’s message on advancing a comprehensive strategic partnership with the new Peruvian administration, together with a personal letter from the President.
The delegation will also attend inauguration-related events, including a reception hosted by Peruvian Foreign Minister Carlos Pareja for foreign delegations and the inauguration reception hosted by President Fujimori. Through these engagements, the Korean government will convey its commitment to deepening cooperation in the defense and security sectors with Peru, its largest defense industry partner in South America.
