Unichem announced on July 23 that an embezzlement incident involving executive director Mr. An occurred during the course of work. The amount involved is 1.5 billion won, which represents 1.14% of the company's equity capital.
The company stated, "This embezzlement case occurred during the work duties of executive director Mr. An," adding, "The amount related to the alleged embezzlement was identified through an internal audit process, and it may be subject to change depending on the outcome of investigations by law enforcement authorities in the future."
