Stock Market Boom Drives KB Securities to Record-High Operating Profit in First Half
KB Securities achieved record-high profits in the first half of this year.
On July 23, KB Securities announced in a regulatory filing that its operating profit on a consolidated basis for the second quarter provisionally came in at 600.6 billion won, up 175.5% year-on-year.
Revenue stood at 12.2779 trillion won, representing a 281.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit jumped 180.6% to 450.8 billion won.
For the first half of this year, revenue climbed to 20.6289 trillion won, up 233% year-on-year. Operating profit for the first half was 1.0537 trillion won, up 138% from a year ago, while net profit increased by 134% to 801 billion won.
