Quarterly dividend set at 400 won per share
Doosan Bobcat announced on the 23rd that, on a consolidated basis, its provisional results for the second quarter of this year recorded sales of KRW 2.4479 trillion and operating profit of KRW 291.7 billion.
Sales increased by 11.2% year-on-year due to the effect of product price hikes, despite some deferred shipments. Operating profit rose by 42.9% thanks to the effect of U.S. tariff refunds, with the operating margin reaching 11.9%. Net profit for the period jumped by 63.9%, driven by higher operating profit and reduced financial costs.
In Doosan Bobcat's base currency, the U.S. dollar, sales increased by 4% year-on-year to USD 1.63 billion, while operating profit surged by 34% to USD 195 million.
By product segment, sales of compact equipment and industrial vehicles each grew by 4% and 2%, respectively. Portable Power posted increased sales compared to the previous quarter, recovering to last year's level, and Doosan Mottrol, which manufactures hydraulic components, saw its sales rise by 40% due to increased sales to domestic and international customers.
By region, sales in North America grew by 3%, supported by the company's pricing policy and increased forklift sales. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, sales rose by 10%, aided by the recovery in compact equipment demand and favorable currency effects. On the other hand, sales in Asia, Latin America, and Oceania decreased by 8%, as strong sales in South America, Oceania, and India were offset by sluggish forklift sales.
