Wooridongne Gukmin Sanghoe Sees June Affiliate Store Sales Rise by About 12% Month-on-Month Through Headquarters Support Challenge
170 Affiliate Stores Nationwide Benefit Significantly from Headquarters' Off-Season Support
The fourth-generation curation commerce brand, Wooridongne Gukmin Sanghoe, announced that it achieved a nationwide monthly affiliate store sales record of 10 billion won in June, following the implementation of a customized support program at the headquarters level to overcome the off-peak season in the distribution industry and promote mutual growth with its affiliates.
According to Wooridongne Gukmin Sanghoe, the total monthly sales of its 170 affiliate stores across the country in June increased by approximately 12% compared to the previous month. The company cited the “Affiliate Store Support Challenge,” which ran from June 15 to July 14, as the main driver of this achievement.
This program was designed to boost affiliate sales and strengthen operational competitiveness. Participating stores were given three missions: ▲ uploading product display photos daily ▲ sharing know-how on product use and sales ▲ achieving sales growth of at least 10% compared to the previous month. Headquarters provided support funds of up to 300,000 won depending on the level of achievement. Even stores that completed only some missions were eligible for support, thereby encouraging greater participation.
Promotional product support was also provided. Event products such as cheese and cup noodles were supplied free of charge to stores nationwide. For certain stores requiring sales recovery, strategic products including pork belly slices, pork bone soup, and tteokbokki were additionally supplied to enable sales at more competitive prices.
Wooridongne Gukmin Sanghoe explained that this program goes beyond simple financial support, aiming also to enhance the operational capabilities and customer service quality of its affiliates. By sharing product displays and sales know-how and strengthening customer-centered services, the company intends to build a virtuous cycle that enhances store competitiveness and translates that into sales growth.
The company analyzed that each store has transformed into a “customized curator” for local residents, thereby raising the offline competitiveness of the entire brand.
Byun Youngmin, CEO of Wooridongne Gukmin Sanghoe, stated, “June is a typical off-peak season for the distribution industry, as consumption during Family Month comes to an end and the summer holiday period approaches, causing a temporary dip in consumer sentiment. It is the headquarters’ important role to proactively support store owners so they can stably overcome this period.”
He added, “Sales growth can only be achieved when headquarters’ support is complemented by the operational capabilities and customer service of affiliate stores. Going forward, we will continue our win-win management approach by providing quarterly mutual growth programs and various support policies,” he said.
