Featuring Three Sessions
Korea Deloitte has organized an event to share key governance-related strategies that the boards of directors and audit committees of domestic listed companies should pay attention to.
On July 23, the Center for Board Governance at Korea Deloitte Group announced that it will hold the "2026 Board of Directors and Audit Committee Competency Enhancement Program" for independent directors, audit committee members, and auditors of domestic listed companies on September 2 at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The theme of this event is "2026 Governance Strategies to Prepare for the Future: Economy, AI Talent Strategies, and Accounting Supervision Response," and it will consist of three sessions in total.
In the first session, Jun-kyung Kim, President of KDI School of Public Policy and Management, will give a lecture on "Structural Challenges and Global Competitiveness of the Korean Economy." Using value-added trade (TiVA) statistical analyses from the five major economies, the session will explore the structural changes facing the Korean economy and the direction for enhancing global competitiveness, as well as provide key insights that companies and boards need to consider.
The second session will feature Kiwon Choi, Human Capital Leader at Korea Deloitte Group, who will present on "Talent Strategies and Organizational Response Boards Should Assess in the Age of AI." This session will examine how the spread of AI is affecting corporate talent management and organizational operations, introduce strategies for securing and developing AI talent, and outline the core tasks that boards of directors should assess.
In the third session, Jongseong Park, Advisor at the Center for Board Governance at Korea Deloitte Group and Professor at Sookmyung Women's University Department of Business Administration, will deliver a lecture on the theme of "Recent Accounting Supervision Trends and Responses to Financial Statement Reviews and Audits – Focusing on Experiences from the Securities and Futures Commission."
The event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. on September 2. A dinner and networking session for attendees will follow. Participation is free of charge, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Korea Deloitte Group website.
