At approximately 8:29 a.m. on July 23, 2026, a fire believed to have been caused by an explosion broke out inside the management office of an apartment complex in Sadong, Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province.
According to the police, a total of eight people have been injured in the incident so far, but no fatalities have been reported.
The police and the Gyeongsan city authorities believe that the explosion occurred during a gathering of several management office staff at the apartment complex.
One eyewitness stated, "It appeared that someone who did not seem to be a resident entered the management office, poured a flammable substance, and set it on fire, which then seemed to cause the explosion."
It has been reported that there was ongoing conflict between some residents and the management office at this apartment complex.
