Fire Completely Extinguished After Final Embers Cleared
The fire that broke out at the Coupang logistics center in Incheon has been completely extinguished after four days.
According to the Incheon Fire Department, the fire at Coupang's 32nd Logistics Center in Seoknam-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon was fully extinguished at around 8:35 p.m. on the 22nd. It took 109 hours and about 40 minutes to control the fire completely since it broke out at 6:54 a.m. on the 18th.
The blaze started on the sixth floor of the logistics center, which has a total floor area of 299,000 square meters and consists of eight above-ground floors, and then spread to the upper levels.

The firefighting authorities faced difficulties in containing the fire due to the large quantities of combustible materials stored inside and the complex structure of the building. However, they managed to achieve initial containment at around 8:00 p.m. on the 20th, 61 hours after the outbreak. Continued efforts to suppress lingering flames led to the final extinguishment of the fire on this day.
