This event will mark the first public unveiling of the newly constructed Wave Plaza to local residents and visitors, with the facility opening to the public from 4 p.m. on the same day. Following the opening ceremony, performances spanning a variety of genres will transform the midsummer night into a festive space where culture and relaxation coexist.
Wave Plaza is an aquatic plaza that reinterprets the elegant waterway of Wangpicheon through modern landscaping techniques. During the day, visitors can enjoy a refreshing rest by the water, while in the evening, a vibrant nightscape combining lighting and aquatic features provides a unique visual experience.
In particular, the plaza features dozens of water play facilities approximately 30 centimeters in size, ensuring that families with young children can safely enjoy water activities. In addition, barbecue and beer markets have been prepared throughout the plaza area, allowing visitors to enjoy both food and relaxation at the same time.
The commemorative concert will feature appearances by singer YoonSeong, who participated in the JTBC audition program "Sing Again 2," singer-songwriter Bang Junyeop, and soprano Park Nari, all set to add a sentimental touch to the summer night.
With the opening of Wave Plaza, Uljin County plans to gradually carry out the renewal of Wangpicheon Park, strengthening the infrastructure for stay-type tourism and developing it as a daily leisure space for residents and a nationwide tourist attraction.

We will continue to expand the content and facilities to ensure it grows as a representative park of Korea that attracts visitors year-round and makes them want to stay."
The Wave Plaza at Wangpicheon Park is significant, as it goes beyond a simple water play facility by combining natural scenery, cultural performances, and night landscapes into a comprehensive stay-type tourist attraction.
