Kakao Enterprise Names Lee Jae-han as New CEO...Lee Won-joo Resigns as CEO
Kakao Enterprise, the business-to-business (B2B) specialist affiliate of Kakao, announced on July 22, 2026, that Lee Jae-han, Head of the Business Division, has been nominated as the new CEO.
Lee Jae-han, the newly nominated CEO, is recognized as an expert in cloud infrastructure. At Kakao Enterprise, he has served as Head of Digital Transformation (DX) and Head of the Business Division, overseeing strategy development and business commercialization.
Prior to joining Kakao Enterprise, he worked as a systems engineering leader at Kakao, overseeing the infrastructure architecture design and operation for KakaoTalk.
Lee is expected to be officially appointed as CEO following the extraordinary general shareholders meeting and board meeting scheduled for August 2026.
Former CEO Lee Won-joo resigned after approximately one year and four months in office due to personal reasons. He had concurrently served as CEO of both Kakao Enterprise and DK Techin, but stepped down from his position as CEO of DK Techin earlier this month due to internal management issues, and now leaves his role as CEO of Kakao Enterprise as well.
