Sungshin Cement Introduces 1:1 Matching Grant Program for Employee Participation
Donation Pledge System in Operation Since Last Year
Sungshin Cement, a leading cement company, announced on July 22 that it has introduced a "1:1 Matching Grant Program" to promote a culture of sharing among employees and to implement ESG management.
The Matching Grant Program is a system in which the company matches (or adds to) the amount voluntarily donated by employees through the corporate donation pledge system.
Sungshin Cement has been operating a donation pledge system for employees since last year. Employees are able to directly choose the charitable organization they wish to support. Currently, there are a total of five organizations designated for donation pledges: the Korea Pediatric Leukemia Foundation, Seoul National University Children's Hospital, Taehwa Welfare Foundation, Mapo Aeranwon, and Seoul Eunpyeong Village Municipal Facility.
Going forward, Sungshin Cement plans to continue promoting various social contribution programs, such as support for vulnerable groups, volunteer activities at social welfare facilities, and community environmental cleanup activities.
