ILE Expands Supply of Humanoid 'ILBOT'... Accelerates Physical AI Demonstration at Smart Factory
ILE is accelerating the expansion of its business by broadening the supply of its humanoid robot, ILBOT, beyond manufacturing to industries such as distribution and entertainment, while also strengthening the demonstration of Physical AI utilizing its own smart factory.
ILE, a full-stack future mobility platform company, announced on July 22, 2026, that it is expanding its humanoid business in earnest. The company is increasing supply to various industries while accumulating operational data from actual production sites to enhance the performance of its artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
Following the signing of an initial supply contract with Company H in May 2026 worth approximately 3 billion won, ILE has been expanding the supply of ILBOT to entertainment, distribution, and manufacturing. The company is currently in discussions with several other firms for additional supply, and plans to broaden the application of ILBOT to the entire service industry as well as manufacturing going forward.
The company recently expanded its business scope from simply supplying humanoid robots to providing an integrated platform that includes control systems and operations software. The strategy is to support the full range of customer activities, from adoption to operation, by offering a full-stack solution encompassing not only robot hardware but also control, operations, and data management software.
ILE is also focusing on enhancing its Physical AI capabilities. The company operates its Cheonan smart factory as a hub for the demonstration of Physical AI, running ILBOT on mass production lines at all times. Unlike separate test environments, operating humanoids in real production settings enables the company to simultaneously improve manufacturing automation and AI performance.
Currently, ILBOT performs various manufacturing work step by step, including material transport, movement between processes, supplying parts, facility inspection, patrol, and repetitive tasks. The operational data accumulated during these processes—such as work details, movement, charging, malfunctions, and recovery—is used for AI training, which continually enhances work accuracy and autonomy.
The company operates its smart factory not just as a production facility but as a core hub for humanoid AI learning and Physical AI validation. It has established a virtuous cycle system that continuously improves performance based on operational data collected from real industrial sites, and plans to expand this system to a variety of manufacturing sectors, including automotive parts, electronics, logistics, and chemicals.
In addition, by utilizing data accumulated across multiple industries such as logistics, distribution, and entertainment outside of manufacturing, the company aims to enhance the competitiveness of its humanoid platform, and to continuously expand customized Physical AI service models tailored to each industry.
An ILE representative stated, "The competitiveness of humanoid robots depends on how much operational data can be secured from real industrial sites and leveraged in AI learning. Based on our operating models validated in our own smart factory, we will expand the supply of our humanoid platform and grow as a leading Physical AI platform company driving AI transformation across manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and service industries."
