Dong-Eui University of Science International Students Experience Korean Culture through K-pop
Beyond learning dance and singing, education that allows international students to directly experience the K-pop industry is expanding. Four international students from Dong-Eui University of Science participated in the SM Universe K-pop Experience Program.
Dong-Eui University of Science (President Kim Youngdo) announced on July 22 that four international students participated in the "2026 UNN×SMU K-pop Experience Education Program for International Students" held at the SM Universe Training Campus in Seoul from July 1 to 2.
This program was co-hosted by University News Network and SM Universe. It was established to enhance international students' understanding of Korean culture and to support the cultivation of regionally based talent.
From Dong-Eui University of Science, two Vietnamese students majoring in K-Beauty, one Kyrgyzstani student majoring in K-Care, and one Vietnamese student majoring in K-Culture Contents participated, totaling four students.
The participating students attended lectures on the K-pop industry and the global content market, and took part in dance and vocal practice sessions as well as performance video production. After completing the program, they received both Korean and English certificates of completion and copies of their performance videos.
The program followed a sequence beginning with orientation and a campus tour, followed by K-pop industry education, dance and vocal training, performance video production with a professional filming team, and concluded with a presentation of the results and a completion ceremony.

Tae Kyung Kim, Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Dong-Eui University of Science, stated, "This was an opportunity for international students to experience Korean culture firsthand and expand their understanding of the content industry. We will continue to expand cultural and career experience programs to help international students adapt to university life and settle in the local community."
