Aegis Completes Integration with NVIDIA Omniverse
Aegis has integrated NVIDIA Omniverse with its proprietary digital twin operating system (OS).
According to Aegis on July 22, the new solution is designed to deliver real-world data to the NVIDIA Omniverse environment, enabling high-precision 3D simulation and rendering. Based on the simulation results, integrated operations can then be conducted through the digital twin OS. With this development, Aegis has established a foundation to expand its existing spatial data management capabilities into the domain of physical AI.
The Omniverse is NVIDIA’s platform for industrial digital twins and simulation. It allows the creation of 3D representations of factories, cities, buildings, robots, sensors, and other real-world elements, supporting not only physical simulations but also the validation of robots and sensors as well as high-quality rendering. As a result, it is utilized across a range of industries including manufacturing and robotics.
Aegis has implemented a solution that converts terrain, buildings, facilities, objects, and attributes managed within its proprietary digital twin OS into OpenUSD-based 3D simulation data, making them compatible for use in Omniverse. Real-world data is integrated and managed through the digital twin OS, while Omniverse is used to expand these data sets with high-precision simulation and rendering.
Aegis plans to leverage the new solution to drive achievements in the physical AI field across various industrial sectors, including AI manufacturing infrastructure. The company is also in the process of registering the developed solution with Omniverse as an official solution and aims to launch it as early as within this year. Moving forward, Aegis intends to further expand the integration with Omniverse, enhance its technology with real-time conversion of specific regional or facility data, and implement automated analysis based on AI agents.
