Juhyung Kim is set to accumulate FedExCup ranking points.
From July 24 (Korea Standard Time), he will compete in the 3M Open, a PGA Tour event held over four days at TPC Twin Cities (par 71) in Blaine, Minnesota, United States. In the current PGA Tour regular season, only three tournaments remain: the 3M Open, the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and the Wyndham Championship. After the regular season concludes, the FedExCup Playoffs (PO) will follow. In order to advance to the final event, the Tour Championship, players must improve their FedExCup ranking through the remaining regular season tournaments.

He is highly likely to qualify for the first round of the Playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship (which features 70 participants). However, as the field narrows to 50 players for the second round, the BMW Championship, and then to 30 players for the final Tour Championship, he will need to move higher in the FedExCup rankings in order to keep advancing to these events.
Ranked 34th in the world, Juhyung Kim has been in good form recently. On July 13, he secured victory at the Genesis Scottish Open. It was his fourth career win and his first in 33 months since the Shriners Children’s Open in October 2023, ending his winless streak. If Kim wins this week’s tournament, he could climb into the top 15 of the FedExCup rankings.

For Korea, in addition to Juhyung Kim, Im Sungjae (ranked 57th in the FedExCup) and Noh Seungyul (ranked 184th) will also participate. Siwoo Kim, who is 7th in the FedExCup standings, has opted for rest.
