OrientBio Advances Toxicity and Efficacy Prediction with Non-clinical Primate Data
Bio infrastructure specialist OrientBio is advancing the sophistication of toxicity and efficacy prediction by utilizing non-clinical primate data.
On July 22, OrientBio announced that it will expand its “Non-clinical Data AI Assetization” initiative, which systematically accumulates pathology, hematology, imaging, toxicity, and efficacy evaluation data generated during research-use primate non-clinical studies and builds them into an artificial intelligence (AI) database (DB).
Non-clinical Data AI Assetization is a CRO (contract research organization) business model that uses AI to analyze accumulated data, precisely predict the toxicity and efficacy of new drug candidates, and reduce both the time and cost required for drug development through a data-driven approach.
OrientBio, through a contract with its affiliate Orient Cam for exclusive rights to primate non-clinical testing, has established a business system that connects supply, test execution, quality assurance (QA), and data analysis. By standardizing non-clinical data as AI assets, OrientBio aims to support the analysis of new drug candidates and R&D decision-making, as well as to collaborate with related companies and research institutions to expand into a global AI research support service.
