Goheung County, Jeonnam-Gwangju Unified Special City (Governor Gong Youngmin), announced on the 21st that it held the completion ceremony for the "Goheung County Agricultural Products Smart Supply Center," which aims to regulate the supply and demand of local agricultural products and strengthen the competitiveness of distribution from production areas, and that the center has now entered full-scale operation.
The completion ceremony on this day featured a festive performance by the Donggang Madongmaegu Nongak Troupe before the official opening, followed by the opening ceremony and national pledge, a progress report, commemorative remarks, a speech by a participating farmer, congratulatory addresses, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, and a tour of the facility.

The first floor of the newly opened center is equipped with a smart joint sorting center (APC) for high-quality agricultural product shipments, a small package room, a cold storage facility, and a hygiene inspection room, further enhancing the safety and marketability of agricultural products from Goheung. The second floor houses the management office, seminar room, and a shared office for startups, and is intended to be used as a multipurpose, integrated hub for agricultural activities.
Notably, before the official completion ceremony, the center began pilot operations with peaches on June 15. It carried out precise sorting and nationwide shipments of Goheung’s premium peaches without issue, demonstrating its stable operational capabilities.
Building on this, the county plans to begin full-scale joint sorting and shipment operations with approximately 60 tomato-growing farms starting in November. Through this initiative, the goal is to achieve over 80% annual operational utilization of the facility, thereby maximizing efficiency.

Governor Gong Youngmin stated, “The Goheung County Agricultural Products Smart Supply Center will serve as a core hub not just for sorting agricultural products, but also for leading innovation in supply regulation and distribution from production areas in Goheung’s agriculture,” adding, “We will continue to concentrate the county's capabilities on stable management and supporting farmers, and will persist in our efforts going forward.”
