Experience the Crimson Sunset and the Sea at Gunsan's 'Seonyudo Summer Festival' on the 25th
A Variety of Events Including Local Artist Performances,
Interactive Activities for Visitors, and a Fireworks Show
Seonyudo Beach in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, will be transformed into a stage for a summer night festival where the crimson sunset, the sea, and various performances come together. According to Gunsan City Hall on July 21, the '2026 Seonyudo Summer Sunset Festival' will take place on a special stage at Seonyudo Beach on July 25.
Seonyudo is the central island of the Gogunsan Archipelago and stands out as one of the most popular summer tourist destinations, thanks to its beach and coastal scenery. In particular, the sunset unfolding above the sea in the evening is a must-see attraction for visitors to Seonyudo.
This year’s festival is an event where both residents and tourists can enjoy the scenery of Seonyudo at dusk. Local artists will perform, and there will be interactive activities for visitors during the time when the sun sets into the West Sea and the ocean views blend together.
To cap off the festival, a fireworks show will light up the summer night, enhancing the festive atmosphere. The program is designed so families, couples, and friends can all enjoy the performances and activities together.
Through this festival, Gunsan City hopes to highlight Seonyudo's natural beauty and tourist resources, extend the stay of summer visitors, and boost local businesses.
