PET is widely used as a surface finishing material for furniture doors due to its excellent processability and appearance quality. However, its inherent rigidity has made it difficult to apply to complex structures such as curved surfaces and right-angle edges.
The two companies utilized Toray Advanced Materials' film processing and manufacturing technology, along with high-performance elastic materials, to achieve approximately twice the flexibility of conventional PVC materials. As a result, the new film can be stably applied to complex structures such as curved surfaces and edges without lifting or detachment.
The newly developed PET interior film is scheduled to be applied to Hansol Home Deco's "Hansol Story Film" product lineup.
