The festival will be held around Gumi Station from November 6 to 8. At the meeting, participants focused on the festival concept, major programs, venue layout, promotional and marketing strategies, as well as detailed plans for the "Ramen Restaurant," which is the festival’s centerpiece.
The Ramen Restaurant section especially garnered much attention, with 52 businesses taking part in the preliminary briefing session held on July 9. Gumi City plans to select participants with original recipes and operational capabilities through both document screening and on-site cooking evaluations.
The city will also establish measures to reinforce on-site operations in areas such as safety, traffic, hygiene, and food quality. By strengthening cooperation among relevant organizations, the city aims to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival for citizens and visitors alike.
Mayor Kim Jangho stated, "We will establish the Gumi Ramen Festival as Korea’s leading gourmet festival," adding, "By actively reflecting feedback from the field, we aim to revitalize the local economy and elevate the brand value of Gumi as a city of romantic culture through a high-quality festival."
