Toss Securities' Domestic Earnings Call Service Surpasses 600,000 Users Just Three Months After Launch
Earnings Calls for Over 70 Domestic Companies Provided in the Second Quarter
Toss Securities announced on July 21 that the cumulative number of users for its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered domestic corporate earnings call service has surpassed 600,000.
Back in April, Toss Securities became the first in the Korean securities industry to expand the coverage of its earnings call service from overseas companies to domestic firms. Just three months after launch, the cumulative user count has exceeded 600,000.
Until now, corporate earnings announcements in Korea were primarily targeted at institutional investors, creating high barriers for retail investors to access real-time information. Leveraging its operational know-how from serving overseas earnings calls, Toss Securities has now broadened its range to include Korean companies. During this second-quarter earnings season, the company plans to provide earnings calls for around 70 major domestic companies.
Approximately 200,000 new users have experienced the service for the first time through domestic earnings calls alone. The company with the highest number of users was Samsung Electronics, with 190,000 participants in its first-quarter earnings announcement.
To deliver the domestic corporate earnings call service, Toss Securities developed and implemented proprietary real-time Korean speech-to-text and summary technologies. Investors can simultaneously access live transcripts of management presentations in Korean script, as well as real-time AI-generated summaries. All core features from the previous overseas earnings call service have also been incorporated without compromise.
Furthermore, earnings calls have been improved from one-off events into investment analysis content that is available at all times. Before each earnings call, a 'Popularity Ranking' is provided based on real-time pre-call poll participation. Notably, AI highlights key points that investors should pay special attention to ahead of upcoming earnings announcements. After the call, investors are given post-call data, such as whether results met or fell short of expectations, the immediate stock price movement, and a one-line summary of the key takeaways.
A Toss Securities representative stated, "The market's response to domestic earnings calls demonstrates the information gap previously experienced by individual investors," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to enhance the earnings call service based on our proprietary technology, prioritizing investor convenience, and evolving it into analytical content that investors seek throughout their journey."
